I have been dancing all my life, tap, stage, latin, ballroom, salsa & linedance – earning IDTA medals in a variety of dances. Professionally I have danced with boyband 5ive, appeared on BBC’s Strictly Dance Fever, Pop Idol, Stars In Their Eyes and auditioned for popstars Adam Rickett & Billie Piper. I was first introduced to linedance in 2005 when my Auntie Margaret asked whether I’d like to come to her line dance class. I learnt Trust Me! by Geri Morrison and caught the bug!

Returning to Peterborough, I attended all the local classes I could and soon became the best of friends before with one of the instructors (James Harrington) before being invited to co-run the classes; I’ve been teaching ever since and the rest is history.

​

 

It was back in 2006 when I started choreographing and my first dance was Waiting For Your Call, a phrased 64 count dance (and not so easy for my first attempt!). I’m very humbled to report that numerous dances of mine have been published, namely Do Right, Xplosiv, Overcome, Heart Vacancy & Arch Rival.  I have co-choreographed dances with Guillaume Richard, Jo/John Kinser, Stephen Rutter & Hayley Goy.

Twice I have made it to the finals of the Linedancer Magazine Choreographer Competition with my dances Light Up and Dance Like There’s No Tomorrow. The dance I’m most proud of is Alesha’s Boy, a fun, improver dance to The Boy Does Nothing by Alesha Dixon’. This reached No. 12 in the Linedancer Top 40 chart and was No. 1 in the USA chart.

More recently my dance; Special Moves (co-written with my best friends Lesley, Hayley and partner) was nominated for a Crystal Boot in the Intermediate Dance of The Year Category.

I have taught, DJed and hosted at numerous linedance events with the highlight being at Eurodance 2018. I run 2 classes a week and a couple of day events a year (with my trusty team of wonderful close friends and supportive partner, Nick). I live in Market Deeping and am often seen social dancing in the Milton Keynes area, usually frequenting Kim Ray & Adrian Checkley socials.

I enjoy all kinds of dances but my heart is torn between the funky, advanced Newline stuff and the beautiful flowing nightclub 2steps.

Other than dance, I also sing Tenor 1 in the Peterborough Male Voice Choir. It’s an award winning choir who has been privileged to perform with The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, The Brighouse & Rastrick Band, Lesley Garrett, RAF Concert Band and the BBC Concert Orchestra.

At home there’s my partner (and rock) Nick, our cats Wispa & Muffin and Aero the puppy.
